Micha B performing at Sheftival

Lawson And X-Factor Misha B Join Sheftival
Real Radio are delighted to announce that top new boy band, Lawson and X Factor’s R&B star Misha B, will join a brilliant weekend of Olympic celebrations at Yorkshire’s biggest festival of music and sport; Sheftival. They will lead the charge on a weekend of music and sport timed to celebrate Olympiad Jessica Ennis competing in the heptathlon at the Olympics, held at the Don Valley Complex, Sheffield, on Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5.

This fantastic news comes as Rizzle Kicks inform us they have withdrawn from the Sheftival line-up. We are not in a position to say why they have pulled out, as their management have yet to clarify this to us.

A total of 80 acts are playing at Sheftival including urban pop girl band Stooshe, X Factor star Marcus Collins, MOBO and Brit Award winner Lemar, Noisettes and The Lightning Seeds. Lawson, fresh from a sold-out headline UK tour as well as an arena tour with The Wanted, are just back from Los Angeles where they have been recording their highly anticipated debut.
Misha B built a huge fan base on the last series of X Factor and she is about to release her debut single, Home Run.
Joining the line-up is also MTV Award nominees girl group Vida, who’ve just supported JLS and Chipmunk on UK national tours.
Steve South, Managing Director of Real Radio Yorkshire, said:
“Landing a great band such as Lawson is another fantastic result for an event which will become part of Sheffield’s Olympic history. Add Misha B to the mix and Sheftival becomes an unmissable festival.
“This is going to be such a fantastic weekend of music and sport and is great value. What could you buy for £12? A great day out at Sheftival, that’s what.”
Stretching a vast site of 25 acres, Sheftival boasts eight stages, over 1,000 performers, 25 sports, 80 bands, three markets, a huge fairground, gourmet food stalls, twelve bars, a giant bungee, free ice-skating, the biggest foam party in the country and so much more. This is the Olympic Games done festival style and priced to make every welcome, it’s accessible to all.
